Question:

Can I have Reiki treatments if I am on medication?

Answer:

Yes. Reiki is compatible with all other forms of medicine but I would possibly ask you to check with your doctor just to be sure. I always carry out a consultation before starting a course of Reiki treatment.

Question:

Is Reiki a hands-on treatment? I’m not keen on being touched.

Answer:

It can be hands-on or not. During the initial consultation I would always check if you are happy to have hands on your body or not.

Question:

Can you come to my home to give me Reiki or must I come to you?

Answer:

Most clients come to my house but I can come to you if, for example, you are unable to travel. Students wishing to take reiki courses normally come to my house but, again, in special circumstances I can make other arrangements.

Question:

Do you have disabled access?

Answer:

I have a ramp to my front door and flat access throughout the ground floor. Although I usually hold courses and treatments in a room upstairs, I am happy to do it downstairs if necessary. I do have a ground floor toilet although it is only accessable if you are able to stand to transfer.

Question:

I live quite far away, will I need to stay over night when doing a course?

Answer:

Doing a Reiki course can be quite tiring so you may want to stay somewhere local instead of driving back and forth. I am happy to recommend some local bed and breakfast's and help with booking if needed.

Question:

Can I charge people for Reiki treatments after completing the level one course?

Answer:

You need to have been attuned to Reiki level two (Okuden) before practising on members of the public.
